Cocktail Masterclass at TT Liqour with Event Venues

I was kindly invited by Event Venues, however all opinions are my own.

Love a cocktail every now and again but don’t know how to make them? That was me until a couple of days ago, as I was kindly invited by to a masterclass at TT Liquor in the heart of Shoreditch. I discovered a newfound passion and am seriously considering becoming e a mixologist!

TT Liquor

This is definitely the place to go if you love the occasional drink! You can choose your fave booze in their liquor store. Or you can enjoy a drink in one of their many spaces. If you’re feeling a bit more crafty you can even book a cocktail class master the art of mixology yourself.

London’s Shoreditch is know for its alternative spaces and TT Liquor does not disappoint. This bar is located in a former police station, that had cells in the basement. Today, you can book the cells for large groups/parties to enjoy their delicious drinks menu in a more private setting.

They even have a cinema room, with vintage chairs hand-picked on Ebay (I know right?!). Their usual screenings are classics films that cost only a tenner, which also includes a cocktail. A much more memorable and economical way to watch your favourite film!

Cocktail masterclass

After a little time to network, we were heading straight to the main event of the evening: mastering the art of mixology. Or at least, giving it a go! We were shown how to make two different cocktails, a Southside and a Zombie (bartender mythology included). Both were surprisingly easy to make, at least easier than I expected it to be!

I’ve come to discover that I really enjoy mixing the ingredients to create a delicious beverage. Too bad my birthday has passed, otherwise a cocktail-making kit would be the perfect gift! To conclude the entertaining and educational masterclass we were asked to create an original drink per group in only 4 minutes.

The pressure was one. We decided to mix a healthy amount of vodka with Passoa, passionfruit syrup, grapefruit syrup, lime and a hint of mint. The cocktail, Tropical Passion, turned out to be a lovely balanced drink that is fruity but not too sweet and very easy to drink. We did well. So well, in fact, that we won best original! Told you I might have discovered a hidden talent haha!
