Celebrating Mother’s Day with Moonpig

I was kindly invited by Moonpig to attend this event, however all opinions are my own.

With Mother’s Day just around the corner in the UK (worry not my mainland Europe friends yours isn’t until May), it is time to start thinking of ways to give back to the women that so lovingly took care of us. I can happily say that my mother is my heroine and my best friend. That is why I didn’t think twice when I was invited to an Afternoon Tea with Moonpig to celebrate our mums!

Lucky for me, my mum was actually in London at the time so she could be my plus one. It was a really special day for us as she has never been to a blogger event with me in London before. I am so grateful we got to share this experience together! Although the weather was disappointing to say the least, Moonpig organised a lovely Sunday afternoon filled with great indoor activities.

Make your own card with Moonpig

Most of you will know that Moonpig is the place to go for (last minute) online cards. That is why one of our first activities was to dress up for a mini photoshoot in a Photo Booth. We used the pictures on a personalised Mother’s Day card that was delivered to our home only a couple of days later. Mum, your card will be with you on the Dutch Mother’s Day!

Before we moved on to the next activity, we had a little food break to enjoy a delicious Afternoon Tea. It certainly reminded me that although I live in London, I do not have Afternoon Teas regularly enough. I should be having them on at least a monthly basis, don’t you agree?

Make your own cocktail

After our stomachs were filled, it was time to move on to something a little stronger… I was really happy to get a chance to practise my newfound hobby again. Although this time I opted for a deliciously fruity mocktail, because it was only early and I had already enjoyed an alcoholic welcome’s drink.

Flower arranging with Moonpig

Our last activity was a first for both my mum and I. Although we were a bit sceptical at first, because neither of us are particularly good plant caretakers we really enjoyed arranging flowers. Moonpig showed us how they box and ship their flowers, which is service not many people know about. They have a beautiful selection of the most colourful flowers ready to be delivered to your loved one the next day.

So this year, instead of just a card for your mother dearest why not add in a beautiful bouquet of flowers? I am sure she will pleasantly surprised! You even get a free card with a bouquet of flowers if you use the code TELLMUM.

My mum and I had the best rainy Sunday you can imagine, so many many thanks to Jennie and the Moonpig team for inviting us to this lovely event!

Lots of love,
