Life update: I moved house

If you’re following me on Instagram you’ll probably know about the drama I had last month. One thing led to another, I was already thinking about moving out of my old room but after certain events I decided to move out ASAP. Having a place to call home, one that is safe, comfortable and friendly is so important for your overall wellbeing.

Sometimes more is better

The thing that put me off from moving house earlier was the money I would spend on said new room, as my old room was a bargain (for London). I then went to view some available rooms, all nearly twice as expensive but none of which I was really convinced that would make me happier if I chose them. Then, I realised that I was limiting myself by trying to spend as little as possible on a room. My current new room, is definitely stretching my budget to its absolute limit but it is so worth the price.

It is a perfect combination of everything, a bright and spacious room, in a bright, spacious and well-connected house with five other friendly housemates. I went from avoiding all contact and other social encounters in my old house, to spending most nights on the sofa with my housemates watching Love Island. Plus, we always seem to have a spontaneous ‘staying-in’ party on the weekends!

My room is not complete decorated yet, mainly because I ran out of money an will have to wait till maybe the next payday (or maybe even the one after that!) to continue… But it’s all good! My room is already looking pretty decent even if I do say so myself!

When it’s ready I will definitely share the final result!

Lots of love,

Oh girl I totally know how you feel; there's such a huge difference between living with good housemates in a nice place compared to not feeling safe and comfortable at home! I'm so glad you've found a nicer place to be! Hope you enjoy decorating the new room! Kate xx
