One of London’s most Instagrammable restaurants is definitely Restaurant Ours, located in the heart of Knightsbridge and many a celeb’s favourite spots for food and drinks. If you’re looking to explore London like the ‘it-crowd’ then you should grab your friends and experience this restaurant for yourself.
THE PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Let’s be real for a minute, when are we not doing anything for the Gram? Ours is literally and Instagram heaven, with a dramatic entrance where people will happily queue to get that perfect shot. There is a gorgeous botanical theme going on around the bar, although the restaurant is quite dark, with the right amount of effort you could capture the intricate tree in a stunning photograph.
Towards the gorgeoussssss ladies’ room, you will be somewhat surprised by the floral wall that seems to be taking over everyone’s feed. Surprised because the picture situation isn’t exactly ideal. The ceiling is low, the corridor is narrow, staff and guests are passing by. Yes, this is a classic case of “the Gram is deceiving”. What appears to be an easy backdrop, actually is somewhat of a struggle!
THE FOOD AND DRINKS
The concept is quite different, since all the dishes are designed to be shared. We were advised to select 5 dishes per person, but we only ordered 8 to begin with. Since it was only the two of us, having 8 different dishes was plenty. We ordered a mix of meat, fish, vegetables, risotto and fries.
Some dishes were definitely nicer than others. The truffle and parmesan fries were glorious, as was the beef. The artichoke risotto, however, was so salty it actually made my tongue burn a bit. We also ordered chicken breast that wasn’t really anything special.
Most of the food was also barely hot when it arrived at our table, especially because you’re eating different things it is quite important that your food stays warm as long as possible. Unless it is meant to be cold obviously!
The drinks are very delicious I must say! I went for a #KISSME which was sweet but not too sweet. During dinner we ordered a bottle of red wine, which was also very delicious. I’m not exactly fond of wines so when I do like one that’s a big plus!
During our stay I didn’t feel rushed into ordering, eating or quickly snapping my pictures. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, something that is certainly not always the case in posher places. On a Friday night, you will find plenty of people on dates, both young and old couples. You will find groups of friends, most younger ones look like they’re off to party at one of the central London clubs afterwards. The older groups of friends look like they’ll be having all their drinks at Ours that evening.
Having paid £85 I will say that the food I was served was not worth that price. It was also the bottle of wine that added to the bill, but the drinks definitely were worth their price. The reason why I am not up at night worrying about the amount spent on one night is honestly because I took some great pictures in this stunning restaurant. I get the feeling that the interior has a lot to do with the price range.

Will I be going back to Restaurant Ours? Yes, but not for dinner. Next time I’ll either go for drinks and snacks only, because those cocktails and fries were bae! I’d also love to try their brunch, and basically take more pictures…
I would recommend trying Ours on a weekend, just to experience it. The menu seems to be updated quite regularly, so the food might be much better by now!
Lots of Love,
