My self imposed shopping ban went downhill quickly after I moved to London. How can I resist the endless collections of high street stores, most of which have at least one of their biggest stores located in the heart of the centre and offer plenty exclusive designs to the London customers.

The addiction (yes, it is really an addiction) came creeping back when I spotted the many head-turning outfits that made London famous for its street style. Inspiration is literally everywhere in this city, be it lunch break visits to Topshop and Zara or the many stylish outfits I see during my commute to the office. Hence, only a couple of weeks after my outrageous Spring haul, I present you the Summer edition:

Transitional items are a must
Of course, we must take the phrase ‘summer’ very lightly as this side of the world is not particularly known for its reliable sunshine and tropical temperatures. Bearing in mind all possible weather scenarios, the safest option is usually to go for either long sleeves and bare legs or short sleeves and covered legs. Do always carry an umbrella/scarf, as all four seasons tend to say hello in one day.

Statement tops are having a moment
There were two trends I fought long and hard not to follow, in order to avoid the risk of becoming mainstream. However I couldn’t deny my love of gingham, which is a pattern that luckily tends to return to the high street quite regularly. But these puffy sleeves, whether they come with ruffles, layers or any other creative addition, I am a big fan! Combine them with a cinched waist and you’ve got my endless love and appreciation. I want them all, in every colour and pattern!
Never in my life have I been this into top halves, if you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know that i am a sucker for the statement trousers/skirts and dresses, but tops? Nope. This is one of the main reasons why I often struggle to put together an outfit btw, as I have an abundance of bottoms, but nothing to cover my top half…

The we have the lovely blush pinks and floral embroidery, which I simply cannot resist. Somehow, my style turns a lot softer and more colourful during the warmer months. Where I love my neutral colours in winter, summer is the time to take out the bright hues. I won’t hold back on mixing and matching different patterns either! Maybe I am secretly a summer bohemian at heart?
Anyhow, I was so glad when I noticed the latest kimono trend upgraded to silk, pyjama-like flowy coats that I just adore. The timing was great as well, since my beloved kimono was in desperate need of an update.
Lately, I have been playing a bit with photography, trying different things and playing with my camera settings more. I hope that you like this different format of a shopping post, let me know what you think in the comments below!
Lots of Love,
