Moving to London

In all honesty I don’t even know where to begin… From day one I’ve had problem after problem, which all started when none of the luggage from the Amsterdam flights arrived in London. No stress, I thought to myself. I still had two whole days before my internship and I was certain I would receive all my belongings before that time. Little did I know that the communication between the airline and the couriers was ridiculous and that I would only receive my luggage on Tuesday.

As soon as I arrived to my new house in London, I was informed that the bathroom was being renovated. The project is still going strong today, meaning that we are not able to shower in this house *insert cry emoji*. Again, no stress, my friend has me covered and I can shower at her place. God bless the girl!

You can imagine, however, that I started this internship in a mental state far from the usual. Despite my nervous breakdowns, my minor anxiety attacks and the urge to just run away, it all turned out to be just fine. I absolutely adore the colleagues that I work with, the work that we do is so diverse and exciting and that 9-5 life isn’t so bad after all.

Slowly but surely I am starting to settle down in London and although it was a rough start, it is totally worth it. Here I am, just outside the heart of the city that I have been wanting to live in for so long. My dream has become a reality!

Lots of Love,
