Five Favourite: Movies

It’s been a while since the last “Five Favourite” post so I thought it was about time to share another one! This time I’m sharing my top 5 favourite movies of all time, well the ones that are animated are left out because the list would have been full of them… What can I say with only 19 years of age most Disney films still left a great impact on me; movies like Mulan, Snow White, The Princess and The Frog and even Maleficent are among my faves… Alright I’m just kidding! Don’t get me wrong though I am always in the mood for a good ol’ Disney movie :p

Time to get a little more serious however, here are my actual favourite movies in no particular order:

Divergent – My latest fiction obsession, a story of a young girl who finds herself different from the crowd which seems to cause a lot of trouble. This movie is based on the trilogy written by Veronica Roth, which I absolutely love. The story is well written and truly enjoyable for everyone, once you see this movie you’ll want to find out what’s going to happen next. In all honesty I think the books were better than the movies so far, however the way they brought the Divergent world to life on screen is unbelievable. The special effects used are beyond imagination and really complete this story, in addition the cast is simply brilliant!

The Fault in Our Stars – I know, I know, this title was already mentioned in the book edition however I couldn’t resist mentioning the movie again. The movie was basically the book on screen if that makes any sense at all. What I am trying to say is that they didn’t change a single thing about the story, exact lines from the book were used and on top of that Amsterdam was portrayed from a completely different perceptive which really means a lot to me. The fact that people now come to Amsterdam to see the parts from this movie instead of just for the drugs is so nice for a change!

If I Stay – Sad, sadder, saddest. If you think it couldn’t be any sadder than TFIOS then you’re wrong my dear. During TFIOS I cried after the break in the cinema, however with this movie I was already crying long before the screen turned black for a 10 minute break. I have both this book and its sequel ready to read but I just can’t put myself to it. The story is about a very determined and serious girl who’s life changes after one incident and she finds herself having to make a very though decision. That’s all you’ll get from me, just watch it you won’t regret it believe me! The story is so inspiring and makes you realise not only how short life is, but also how quickly things can change without ever being the same again.

Bridesmaids – Enough with the sad and serious. This particular movie makes me cry of laughter every single time I watch it. There’s about 100 hilarious scenes and lines and the cast just does such an incredible job at making this movie the best ever!

The Confessions of a Shopaholic – This one just couldn’t be left out of this list. The confessions of a shopaholic, if this isn’t every girls’ favourite movie then I don’t know. The main character is basically me, or what I will become if I don’t seek help within the next five years. No I’m just kidding but her situation is very relatable…

What is your favourite movie?

Lots of Love,
