Not only did we visit the unforgettable Berlin, I also joined one of my classmates to her hometown in the beautiful province Baden-Wurttemberg located in the south of Germany. In all honesty I enjoyed this region much more than Berlin, it was so beautiful, calm and equally as exciting. I must admit that the weather was also a whole lot better in the south! Basically you get all the perks of metropolitan cities combined with the peace that comes with smaller towns. My favourite place we visited was Heidelberg, which is very famous for its students.
Lots of things were a first for me in this province, for example all the wine fields, the hills and just being surrounded by nature in general was so refreshing for me. Especially since I was really stressed out before this holiday all the nature around me definitely helped me to clear my mind and to put things in perspective again. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely enjoyed Berlin and I think it’s such a special place because of its history and the alternative vibes. However I would really recommend a visit to Heidelberg as well! The university there used to have a special student prison where they would lock up students who demonstrated or offended authorities. Insane right?! Seems like students used to be a lot more rebellious back in the day ;p
My Germany photo diaries have come to an end now, I really hope you liked the photos I shared with you. Maybe I even inspired you to book a trip to Germany! Also I really want to thank you for being so patient with me, I feel like this time off was exactly what I needed. However I am fully committed again, so prepare yourself for many more posts to come!
Lots of Love,
