Hands down the BRIT Awards are my favourite music award show ever and it has nothing to do with Madonna falling off of the stage. It is the night where British (and some international) talent gathers around in the famous O2 Arena in London to celebrate music. Personally most of the musicians I love listening to are from the UK, so for me this is the night where most of my favourites get praised.
However I’m not going to discuss who won what as I find that a bit irrelevant. Everyone who wins an award wins it for a reason that must be bloody good. I am going to take the opportunity to (slightly) review the red carpet looks that I loved most!
The first image shows you the four gorgeous dresses worn by my all time favourite girl group Little Mix. I absolutely love how elegantly they attended the BRITs, what I love most is that you can really see their style develop throughout the years. To me this appearance was their debut as true women, who are confident and absolutely stunning just the way they are. I also love the fact that they’re holding hands!
Sam and Calvin both looked lovely on Wednesday, I love that Sam went out of the box and decided to go for navy instead of black. Calvin rocks the casually chic look with those slightly bleached black jeans.
Fleur East ad Ellie Goulding decided to keep their gowns cream coloured without any accessories, both ladies looked like goddesses! I absolutely love their looks.
Daisy Lowe and St Vincent decided to keep things classy in black and I am feeling it! That black velvet gown is ridiculously sexy with that sweetheart neckline, but not too revealing and the black cape is just brilliant. I could definitely see myself wearing St Vincent’s outfit to an event, now all I have to do is wait for the invite…
George Ezra and James Bay both looked very excited for the night. I love that George went for the classic black-tie look but finished it with a gorgeous pair of burgundy shoes. James on the other hand went for a more casual look, which I adore as well. A leather jacket, a hat and his hair down; simply perfect.
Women in pants. Anne Mac and Cara Delevinge decided to ditch the gowns and skirts and go for the trousers. You go girls! I adore Anne’s jumpsuit, with that necklace and pops of colour. Can I just say that I’m obsessed with her hair? So freaking gorgeous! Cara took it a little further by wearing a very masculine look, she added some female sexiness by showing a little bra and a pair of killer heels. Love it!
Laura Whitmore and Grace Chatto both looked lovely as well. I love Laura’s little lime hued leather dress and Grace’s all white ensemble topped with a cape and her gorgeous hair colour!
Rita Ora and Fearne Cotton decided to light up the O2 Arena with their stunning golden gowns. Seems like there were four goddesses attending the BRITs this year.
Jessie Ware and Taylor Swift both wore gorgeous black gowns with some red/burgundy details. Simple, elegant and timeless. These are looks I’m sure I’ll still be in love with in 5 years.
Leigh Lezark and Marina Lambrini Diamandis sparkled in their lovely dresses. Both looks were completed with lovely hair, make-up and accessories.
