Last Saturday we made a little trip to Essen, Germany to see the famous Christmas markets and of course to do a bit of shopping. Essen isn’t too far away from the border with The Netherlands, it’s about a three hour drive all the way to the shopping mall.
The shopping mall, called Limbecker Platz, is enormous! There are so many shops and restaurants of all kinds, however the shops can be a bit on the pricey side. Don’t worry now, if you walk out of the mall you walk straight into Essen’s centre where a lot of (affordable) shops are located. For example, you’ll find a Zara, H&M, Mango and a Primark! Now I wasn’t too keen on that Primark to be completely honest. In my town we have one too, which is much more organised and we just have a better collection over all. The one in Essen has about 5 stories, 3 of them are for women but I wasn’t too excited about the collection. There was a lot of space in between racks, which is great because it was really really busy in there.
When we did a bit of shopping, it was time to enjoy the Christmassy vibes in the centre. Essen is well-known for its Christmas market, they have lots of food and drinks as well as stands with perfect gift-spiration (gift inspiration). Being the fashion blogger that I am, means taking outfit photos whenever possible. Now this was the first time that I actually shot photos right in the middle of all the action. It was quite interesting, but it worked. At first I was a bit shy, but the trick for me was to just ignore the people around me. I kept looking at the camera (or the ground)!
