Last Saturday I experienced the most incredible gig ever. My friend and I went to see The 1975, in this intimate venue. Usually we always go to massive arenas, with thousands of people screaming towards the stage. This was different. For me, this gig gave a whole other definition to the word concert.
The venue was so small that it felt like I was standing front row (which was almost the case). However it wasn’t only the venue. The band is so great, they perform with so much passion it gave me goosebumps.
It was actually the first time I went to see an actual band, usually I go see solo- or group artists. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love those concerts too. However with a band it’s just different, I can’t really explain it. It’s the way they play the interments, how they constantly communicate, to eventually create a song together. It’s just them, there’s no one else. Does this make any sense?
Anyway, I had a great evening! I decided to go for quite a comfy outfit since I had to stand for a long time. When it comes to casual clothing, it’s all in the details. Therefore I added a headpiece, which made me feel a bit like an Egyptian queen. It was a great bonding tool though, a few girls came up to me to compliment the headpiece, which resulted in nice conversations.
