New In: Basics #2

Where
would we be without basics? They make life so much easier. No matter the
occasion, basics are always the ones to go for. You can dress them up or under,
which makes them the go to piece in
anyone’s wardrobe.

However,
if you’ve been following me for a while now you’ll know that I used to think
differently. I used to hate basics with a passion! Only now I realise why, I
never really thought about what
exactly it was that I needed to add to my wardrobe.

Lately,
with all the ‘French Wardrobe Systems’ making their way into the fashion world
I’ve come to admire the beauty of basics. Although I don’t really aim to
transform my style into this French system, I do want to think more about purchases and especially trends before
taking actions.

Therefore
I’ve been buying basics like my life depends on it lately. Not only because I
now know that they’re essential, but because I’ve realised that I was actually
in the need for them a loooong time
ago. I used to have such a hard time combining my items, that I never knew what to wear, how to combine
this, how to wear that etc. Problems, problems…

Ever
since I started buying basics, my life instantly became easier! It seems like a
week doesn’t have enough days for me to flaunt my outfits! That comes with
another advantage: I now spend less on clothes, which is always a pleasant thing.

The fact
that I now know what I need, and most importantly what trend I can skip is such
a huuuuuuuuge accomplishment for me! I
feel calm, collected and no longer have the urge to shop 24/7. Alright, that
might never go away but shopping doesn’t necessarily means buying anymore.

Now that
that’s out of the way, let’s have a look at what I bought.

Black blouse // Primark 10 euros
This is the same blouse in white, because you know… You gotta have black and white…

One can never go wrong with a white tee // Primark 5 euros

These are so soft I just had to get a black one as well…

These ain’t no basics, I know! But you know, they’re so pretty and I can easily wear this with all my basics // Primark 5 euros (on sale)

This top has to different fabrics, the front is like a shirt and the back is jersey and o so soft! // Primark 3 euros (on sale)

Primark actually does pretty good basics! They’re all so soft and look like they’ll last you a lifetime. That’s all for today, hope you enjoyed!

Lots of Love,

Savannah
