Glamour Awards 2014

Don’t you just
love GLAMOUR? I sure know I do, especially GLAMOUR UK I literally always buy that magazine. Although it is
a little pricey over here, because of shipping costs etc. but every month it’s
so worth it. It’s always filled with just the right amount of fashion, beauty
and lifestyle. Because I love this magazine so much, you can imagine how
excited I get for their annual GLAMOUR Awards. Here’s a little (huge) overview
of all the dresses I liked.

First up
are the girls from Little Mix, you already know I’m a huge fan of their style
after seeing this post. I love how they went for a monochrome look with pops of
colour here and there. They also seemed to have matched their lipsticks which I
think is really cool, especially since it shows that they’re a group. All in
all, they just look so grown up and sophisticated and it suits them really

Next are
Amanda Holden and Hayley Atwell. Both look gorgeous, Amanda kept the fabric
simple and added a little edge with the revealing cut. Whereas Hayley did the
opposite, she went for a floral printed dress in a simple and classic shape. I
also adore Hayley’s hairdo!

I had my
doubts about Claudia Winkleman and Emily VanCamp at first, but after really
analysing their total looks I realised that they both did a great job. I wouldn’t
necessarily say they looked amazing, but the colourful shoes Claudia’s wearing
really made the difference to me. As for Emily, the dress is a bit too much for
me but she can totally pull it off. Her hair and make-up really compliment the
entire look.

Daisy Lowe
and Myleene Klass both looked so chic. Daisy kept it simple with a black dress
with a full skater skirt and a sweetheart neckline. This dress really
compliments her looks, she looked effortlessly chic! Myleene completely rocked
this silky dress, which looks a little like a Japanese kimono dress. The prints
are just so gorgeous and the shape of the dress fits her perfectly.

Then we also
have Dawn O’Porter and Eliza Doolittle. Oh
, these two just looked fabulous! You know I have a thing for monochrome, so Dawn’s outfit is right up my street. The
shoes, her hair it all just looks so good together. She probably felt really
comfy, because that dress must feel like you’re hardly wearing anything! Eliza
looked equally as fabulous. A sheer shirt dress is so in fashion these days and
gives this casual but sexy vibe. I love how she paired it with more glamorous
heels, to add the right amount of chic for
an awards show.

Next are
Fearne Cotton and Foxes. Alright, I know that Fearne’s dress is a ‘love it or
hate it’ situation, but I just happen to adore
it! It might be because I absolutely love Fearne, but I promise that I’m
being honest to myself. The floral sheer top and the ruffles give this dress
just such a vintage look, and I love how it then just goes straight down. The
only thing I would’ve done differently is the bag, it takes away the attention
of the top in a negative way. The colour is right, however it shouldn’t have
studs on it. Foxes looked totally gorgeous! I adore that skirt, combined with a
long blazer which covers up everything else so she could wear a bralet.
Although she isn’t wearing a top, she’s isn’t showing too much skin. The shoes
and the bag really tied the look together.

Gemma Chan
and Tess Daly both kept their looks simple, with little twists to keep things
interesting. I love the baroque print on Gemma’s dress. However she could’ve
worn a red lipstick instead to spice things up a little more. Tess kept it
elegant in black, but this dress is actually far from simple. It’s a cape dress
which may sound weird, but looks o so gorgeous
on her! The sheer part makes the dress even prettier. The bag and bracelet look
gorgeous with this cape dress, but I wouldn’t wear those shoes. They don’t really
fit the look in my opinion.

Haddock looked like a goddess! I picked two pictures, since this dress is
simple at the front but has a beautiful open back. You really can’t go wrong
with such a dress, the golden accessories really finish this look and add the
extra glamour.

Next are Jenna
Coleman and Paloma Faith, who both looked gorgeous! I love Jenna’s dress so
much. Everything about it is perfect, the print, the shape and she kept it
simple accessory-wise since this dress steals the show. Paloma went for a sheer
black dress, which looks so beautiful and is really on trend. It’s becoming a thing to wear a dress that shows your
undergarments. Although she’s showing off her underwear, she looks so classy
and not a single bit trashy. Her hair and make-up also make the difference and
kept this look elegant.

Dee Koppang
and Taylor Schilling had such a strong dress
going on! Dee looks like she’s ready for summer in a short white dress
with lace details. She kept her hair simple and added a red lip to make this
look even more perfect. Honestly, she couldn’t have worn better accessories! If
I would be giving grades, she would be a complete 10! Taylor also looked
fabulous in a sparkly silver dress with a white side and split. At first I wasn’t
too sure about this dress, but the longer I look at it, the more I realise that
this look is so gorgeous. I don’t think it’s all because of the dress, but it
has a lot to do with how she looks in
this dress. It just fits her perfectly, she didn’t even need accessories and
kept her hair simple just like Dee. Her shoes are also very gorgeous and look
so much better than black shoes for instance. She sure knew how to work this

there, promise! Alexa Chung and Antonia Clarke both looked gorgeous in black.
They kept it simple and classy. I love Alexa’s dress so much, the mesh details
on the top are so gorgeous. Does she ever get it wrong though? She always looks
on point with all her outfits. Antonia rocked a black jumpsuit, which I’ve
fallen in love with. Let’s take a moment to appreciate her shoes, because damn they’re gorgeous! I’m not really
sure about the choker necklace however.

Last but
definitely not least, are 3/5 girls from the Saturdays. Mollie, Rochelle and
Vanessa looked flawless! All the dresses are so gorgeous, their hair and
make-up really complimented their looks. They definitely get a 10 from me as
well, only if I can borrow those dresses though…
