10 Happy Posts #1

Recently I
came with up with an idea; I wanted to write about things that make me happy. What
really inspired me to do this, is the ‘100 Happy Days’ tag on other
social media platforms. Although I think it’s a wonderful idea, 100 days is
just a little bit too much for me.  So I
decided to give it a little twist, from now on I will write 1 post every month
for the next 10 months! (Because 100
months is a little insane, isn’t it?
)

I think we
could all just take a step back more often and appreciate the smaller things in
life, I know it’s so cliché but it
just seems like we take so many things for granted nowadays. We rush from one
place to another, worrying about little things and completely forgetting what really
is important.

Quotes such
as ‘life sucks/life’s hard’ don’t make it any easier to appreciate the life you’re
living. Complaining about little things is basically the easy way out. But is
life really that hard? We have a roof
above our heads, we can eat every day, we wear beautiful clothes and we’re
studying or have a job, most importantly we’re surrounded by people we care
about and are healthy. That’s all that matters right? Of course you can have a
bad day once in a while, especially when you missed your train or didn’t get
that promotion. What we’ve got to remember in those situations is that these
things don’t matter.

So for
today I wanted to share two pictures with you; the first one is of my feet on a
very sunny day. It hardly ever is nice weather here, so whenever I get the
chance to wear summery shoes I’m happy! Luckily the weather seems to stay this
nice for a while! The other picture is of a delicious club sandwich I had with
my mum the other day. We turned a boring day of doing groceries and buying
other boring stuff into a fun afternoon! These things don’t even have to cost
you a lot of money, we went to a restaurant that has coupons very often so we
got 2 euros off! It not much, but discount is discount am I right!

This is the
first ‘Happy Post’ and ten more will
follow, I hope you liked this idea! It’s something completely different from
what I normally post, but change is good 🙂

Lots of Love,

Savannah
