Beauty: Ciaté Review

All the way
back in January (I believe) I spotted the bargain
of my life
! I went to Amsterdam with a friend of mine, and we went to the
luxurious warehouse De Bijenkorf. We
were basically just looking around, dreaming about owning all the beautiful
items. Finally, we decided to go to the beauty
department. It was a bad choice, in the sense that most of the beauty items are
within our price range, which makes splurging
easier. However, if we wouldn’t have gone to the beauty department, I would
have never bought this gorgeous Ciaté
‘Mini Mani Month’
advent calendar. As I said in the beginning, this was
the biggest bargain ever! Since it was already January, the calendar was on
sale. Maybe sale might even be an understatement… Anyway, the calendar cost me
22 euros, which isn’t usually an amount I would spend on nail lacquer.
Nevertheless, this is Ciaté we’re talking about, and there are 24 -to be precise- different lacquers
inside! How could I not buy this?!
Oh, and the total worth of its content happens to be around 145 euros… I know right! An unnecessary purchase,
yes. But was it worth the splurge?

Let me just
tell you straight away that I’m not the type to splurge on beauty items. After
years of applying drugstore nail lacquer, I recently discovered Kiko Cosmetics and have been in love
ever since. As much as I do love my Kiko lacquers, however, Ciaté wins this
category by far! Oh my, can I just
tell you that this will be the best
lacquer you’ll ever try. The textures are so bloody good and every colour seems to last a lifetime! These colours
literally will not chip! Another benefit is that there is hardly any drying
time, after applying the lacquer to one hand, you turn to the other, and bam the first hand is dry. Just as
simple as that! All the colours are so gorgeous, there are some seriously stunning
spring hues, which saves me from
buying singles at the drugstore to stay on-trend.
You’ve probably noticed the great variety of glitter as well. If I’m completely honest, I’m not a big fan of
glitter on the nails. This was one of my major issues with buying the calendar,
at first I thought that there would be too much glitter for me and I wouldn’t use
those lacquers. Nevertheless, I decided to step out of my comfort zone, and just give glitter a try. I have to admit, I
really enjoyed experimenting with my nails! Even though I’m not completely sold,
glitter is no longer a taboo on my nails.

To answer
the question if this was worth the splurge, I would say a big, fat yes!
I will definitely buy some real sized Ciaté lacquers in the future. Don’t worry
Kiko, I still love you.

Lots of Love,

All their bottles are so cute right! You should try them, I know it's a bit expensive for nail polish but it's totally worth the price! And the real sized bottles are pretty huge! xoxo Savannah
