As you might have noticed I've not only been wearing my hair differently ever since April; I also dyed it! Somehow I just got really bored of always straightening my hair, which takes quite a long time even now that it's short. On top of that I also wanted to give my hair a break from all the damage I've been doing to it by keeping it curly. My friend told me that her curls are becoming less and less curly ever since she straightened her hair, which scared the hell out of me! I don't want to loose my curls, especially not now that they're finally looking good again!
However just the curly hair wasn't enough of a change for me, especially since I'm still kinda torn between wanting long curly hair and short straight hair all at the same time. That's why I decided to change the colour, make it a bit more "summer appropriate" by dying it balayage style. Basically this style is a mixture between ombre and highlights, since you're only dying parts of your hair making it look like you have roots growing back.
I went for this particular style since I'm over the whole ombre thing, I've been there done that... Nevertheless I didn't want to have just highlights, I wanted something that was a little bit more special than that. That's when I found out about this style. It looks like this is the best way to go from brunette to blonde hair as well since you're dying parts of your hair instead of dying it all at once.
For now I'm more than happy with my caramel locks, I can't wait for my hair to grow longer again since I'm really curious to see myself with super long curly hair! I might continue to gradually dye my hair lighter and lighter to eventually have it in a dark blonde/light brown shade.
Here's my hair after I just cut it back in November:
Lots of Love,
