THE ORIENTAL ONES - Alexa Chung and Emily Blunt decided to experiment with different fabrics and prints and I absolutely adore both looks.THE TROUSERS - Constance Jablonsli and Cara Delevinge decided to go for trousers and I couldn't agree more.
THE COUPLE - FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson both looked very elegant, I love FKA Twig's dress it's so different and her shoes are just stunning!
THE FOREST SHADES - Claire Danes and Lorde gave the autumn shades another go before summer arrived permanently and I love it so much!THE SEQUINNED RED - Gigi Hadid and Rose Byrne both stunned in bejewelled red gowns, simple yet so elegant and timeless.
THE COUPLE - Hannah Bagshawe and Eddie Redmayne looked so chic in black and white
THE WHITES - Amanda Seyfried and Dianna Agron choose beautiful off white gowns with subtle details.
THE PATTERNS - Chloe Grace Moretz and Jennifer Lawrence looked gorgeous in two printed dresses. Chloe went for a shorter, more bolder one. Whereas Jennifer decided to keep the rest of her long dress simple.
THE REDS - BANKS and Marissa Mayer couldn't look more elegant in their gorgeous red gowns
THE CREAMS - Diane Kruger and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stunned in their gorgeous cream designs, this I would call sheer done right.
These are some of my favourite looks from this year's MET Gala. In all honestly it pretty much looked somewhat like a freak show. It seems like everyone either decided to dress in the most bizarre gowns, or ones that barely cover anything at all.
Don't get me wrong, I love when people make statements. However when so much people decide to make a statement at the same time things get a bit awkward... That and; I love the whole sheer trend, I really do. I think that a bit of mesh can really make an outfit so much better. However having an item that is completely sheer and only covers up the crucial parts of your body is just a no for me.
It really surprises me how much people decided to go for the sheer look, some more than others but still so many. Alright, I get that it's a trend right now but you can also take it too far. Is this not a gala we're talking about? Aren't you supposed to dress appropriately? If you're wearing a dress that's completely sheer you might as well not wear one. Sorry, not sorry.
What was your favourite MET Gala look?
Lots of Love,
