Oh autumn, you come with great fashion as always. Autumn is my favourite season to sport my most fashionable outfits. It’s the best season, because you get to wear all these beautiful things without covering them up with A; a thick winter coat or B; without looking all sweaty and gross. If that doesn’t do the trick for you then I don’t know what will.
Every year we get introduced to a ‘key’ season colour and plenty of items to wear throughout the season. This year’s trends that have caught my eye will be reviewed right here in this article. Get ready for your soon-to-become favourite pieces this season.
One. The thing I can’t seem to get enough of, high necks on everything. From dresses to tops, if it doesn’t come with a high neck/turtle neck it’s not in-fashion. I personally like them most on crop-tops as it creates the illusion of wearing a regular length top, or jumpers because they just seem pretty damn cosy. A high neck can be styled to look either super chic or sporty, a little bit for every one’s taste.

Two. Over-the-knee boots, yup they’re back. Last season they made a little debut, but unfortunately few people wore them. This year however, I have a feeling that they will be much more dominant in the street style scene. If I only was a little bit taller, or actually had the wardrobe to style these killer boots with I’d definitely wear them. Sadly enough, I’ll have to do with the occasional daydream…

Three. Leather is a keeper. Literally, every year leather is a must-have from the time autumn comes around until the time winter is about to leave us behind. Not a single year will pass by without leather being central in the world of fashion. Honestly, I love wearing my faux-leather trousers as they give a certain class and edge to my outfits. The jackets are a timeless item for every single person I know. And just recently have leather dresses made a strong come-back, which I’m loving a lot.

Four. Besides the usual monochrome, which has basically become my autumn uniform, deep colours such as burgundy and dark green are pretty dominant in stores as well. Personally I love a bit of colour during autumn, to me there’s nothing better than a mysterious and dark colour such as the ones mentioned above. Multiple times I’ve introduced them as my ‘new favourite’ colour in my outfit posts. What can I say, I really do love autumn.

Five. The sixties mini skirt is so back in fashion. Go watch a beehive ponytail tutorial, because paired with the over-the-knee boots you’re set to make fashion statement that will make people turn their heads. Just for one day, we can all pretend to live in the sixties and it’s completely fine. Ask Ariana Grande, she sure knows how to rock this era’s fashion.
