To you this may not seem like a big deal at all, but in the Netherlands it’s really hard to get your hands on Revlon. I honestly have no clue why, since Revlon is such a popular drugstore brand. However, I recently found a little Revlon counter in Amsterdam! You can imagine how excited I got! If I had more money back then I would definitely buy some more products, but maybe I should be glad that I kept it with only two lipbutters…
So far I’ve been loving them! Tutti Frutti is such a beautiful spring/summer colour, it’s not too bright so you don’t have to worry about the colour fading at all. As for Pink Truffle, it’s the perfect nude for me! I can’t believe that I actually managed to find my nude in just one try. Whenever I wear this colour, you can’t even tell that I’m actually wearing a lipstick! It looks as if I’m just wearing a lip balm. The formula of the lipbutters is simply perfect, now I understand why they’re called butters! They’re so soft and moisturising and give you a subtle colour, what else can we ask for?! They truly are the perfect everyday lipstick.
I also picked up two Rimmel lipsticks. The Apocalips in Apocaliptic and a Moisture Renew in In Love with Ginger. For a long time I’ve been pretty sceptical about the Apocalips range, I just wasn’t sure if I’d like the idea of a liquid lipstick. However I decided to put aside my doubts and just give it a try! Even if I don’t like the formula, I do have an absolutely gorgeous pink colour in return. Rimmel lipsticks have to be my all-time drugstore favourites, therefore I was dying to try the new Moisture Renew formula. I picked up the bright orange one, since I have a little obsession with orange this season. For me there is no better way to rock this colour than on the lips. Orange happens to be the Dutch Colour, as our royal family is called ‘van Oranje’ which literally means from orange. Since I don’t want to give people the impression that I’m randomly celebrating King’s Day by wearing orange, I keep it (slightly) subtle by wearing orange on the lips!
Lots of Love,
