Fashion Master Class | How to Wear: A Black T-Shirt

I thought it would be fun to start a little series called 'Fashion Master Class’ (FMC). Basically, I will be creating multiple outfits based on a single item, like now, on a black t-shirt. However, I’m by no means telling you what to wear/how to wear an item. I just want to share what I would wear/how I style certain items. Sometimes it’s nice to vary between just me wearing outfit, and only showing the items right?

For today’s FMC I wanted to create some outfits based on a black t-shirt I recently bought on sale at Zara (similar here). If you’ve been following me for quite some time, you’ll know that I’m not really the person who buys basics. Nevertheless, this is something I really want to change. Since I’m always struggling with what to wear on top of my lovely skirts/shorts – right, basics! So I promised myself to start building a good collection of basics, which I can style endlessly with all my other items. Also, if you’re unlike me, and have a closet full of basics (props to you) and don’t know how to give your outfits a little edgier, this post can inspire you!

As you can see the t-shirt is really just a piece to tie everything together. I love wearing my statement items with something like a black t-shirt, which emphasises the items even more. My favourite outfit has to be the third outfit, mostly because I’m in love with the skirt! Wearing it with just a black t-shirt and the necklace, gives the outfit such an effortlessly chic vibe. I can’t wait to wear this during summer!

Outfit 1: T-shirt: Zara // Skirt: River Island // Jacket: Pull & Bear

Outfit 2: Trousers: Primark // Blazer: Only

Outfit 3: Necklace: New Look // Skirt: Topshop

Outfit 4: Skirt: New Look // Jacket: Zara

I really hope you like this series, and let me know what you’d like to see styled for the next FMC!
