Video: Winter Lookbook

As the cold days continue, and all we really think about is summer, you might feel a bit uninspired to create your winter outfits. No need to worry any longer! Since I have been through this face already and decided that I cannot wear jumpers and jeans all season long, I've created a lookbook over on 'Lilly & Vannah'. This lookbook is made to help you beat the 'winter blues' and, most importantly, to inspire you to look your best even though it's freezing outside! Let's face the facts here, after all the winter season will be more pleasant when you look your best...

I hope you enjoyed the video!

Look Of The Day: Keeping it Simple

Sometimes less is really more, some outfits just don't need much to look good.
I feel like I tend to forget this a lot, so whenever I keep it simple it feels as if I'm experimenting.
If I look back at the beginning of my 'fashion years' I see a lot of growth.
A blogger once said that as time goes by, a fashionista wears less colour and less bold items.
She said that you start to appreciate black, or other darker colours a lot more, and you tend to keep it simple more often. Unfortunately I can't seem to remember who said this, but I do know that, at the time, I used to think it was the most ridiculous thing ever! 'Me? Wearing black, and keeping it simple?' were my exact thoughts. But now, I feel like I slowly started to change, and this quote does apply to me nowadays. Of course I do love my bold colours every now and then, and I will never loose my love for statement items, but I've also grown to love wearing black more often. I think that when we are younger, we feel like we have to stand out as much as possible to make your statement. At least, that was the case for me. I wanted people to know that I loved fashion, and I used to love it when people gave me compliments about my outfit. However, I've realised that even now, when I don't dress up as much as I used to, I still get a lot of compliments and people can still tell that I'm in to fashion. Maybe being a fashionista really comes from within, and just 'radiates' off of you on a day-to-day basis? Whatever it is, I know that I like where I'm going with my personal style. I love to experiment to see what I do, and do not like nowadays. My style has really developed towards a much more mature style and I can't wait to see what it will be like in a few years!

New In Part Two: Winter Essentials

After a very busy start of the year, followed by a mini vacation, I'm blogging again!
A lot has happened this month, I quit my job due to school reasons, I passed all my exams which means that I am now halfway to receiving my first year's 'diploma'!
I can't believe that I'm already halfway through the first year..
It feels as if I just left my high school yesterday!
Today is the start of the second semester,
and I can't wait to learn more about these interesting courses!
Anyway, enough about my school!
As there has been sale everywhere I've been shopping quite a lot.
You know me, I love buying clothes and that's exactly what I did!
I'm sorry that you had to wait for this second part of my 'New In' series for so long!
Hopefully you like the items I bought, you can see me talking about these items in my Haul video on the YouTube channel Lilly & Vannah:
